This is a well-preserved 1970s bottling of William Lawson's Blended Scotch Whisky, produced over 30 years ago. The William Lawson's blend has enjoyed somewhat of a resurgence - perhaps as it has come to light that William Lawson was supposedly raised by wolves. That might just be a fabrication though. Or it might be the truth. Who knows!

Cragganmore 12yr Malt Scotch

Long before David Beckham and Haig Club, there was Dimple Haig. Launched at the end of the 19th century, it became the deluxe, sophisticated brother to the standard Haig & Haig blend, while in the US it has long been known as Dimple Pinch. Whether the name inspired the bottle or vice versa is unclear, but Dimple has always been packaged in a distinctive lozenge-shaped bottle with pinched sides like a collapsed pot still. Of the various expressions over time, the 15-year-old has a caramel sweetness, a touch of spice, some vanilla oak and no discernible smoke.

The Rockford Reserve Fine & Rare Whisky
The Rockford reserve fine & rare whisky is made from the finest oak aged Scottish malt whiskies blended with charcoal filtered Indian grain spirits. Rockford reserve has a deep, rich golden color and an outstanding warm and well rounded nose. The deep undertones are offset by lighter, fresh top-notes. The taste is smooth and yellow, yet complex with excellent maturity and a soft sweetness balanced by oak and fruit. The finish is clean with good length and further hints of oak.

Old Forester Bourbon is made in the same style as when it was first introduced by George Garvin Brown in 1870. High in rye content, this is full bodied and rich.

Fireball Cinnamon Shot Whisky
Fireball is made with Canadian whisky and natural cinnamon flavours. It's certainly very cinnamony, and it's not too sweet, which is a plus. A very popular shot drink on the other side of the pond, Fireball was awarded 87 points from the Beverage Testing Institute, and a Silver Medal from the International Review of Spirits. A combination of Canadian whisky and natural cinnamon at 33% abv, it was originally launched as Dr McGillicuddy’s Fireball Whisky, being renamed Fireball Cinnamon Whisky in 2006 and it hasn’t looked back since. Little known outside Canada in its previous guise, it has become one of the US’s favourite shots, with Jägermeister its main competition. Bottle sales (by value) there rocketed from $1.9m in 2011 to an astonishing $129m last year, a rise of more than 6,500% – not bad for a drink with the slogan ‘tastes like heaven, burns like hell’.
