This Is The Second Limited Edition Release In Whistlepig's Farmstock Series, Which Is Intended To Achieve What The Distillery Has Termed Its '100% Triple Terroir Vision'. This Entails Creating An Expression Which Is Distilled Entirely From Whistlepig Grain, Proofed With Whistlepig Water And Aged In Whistlepig Custom Vermont White Oak. Which All Sounds Deliciously Whistlepig! The Blend That Went Into Farmstock Rye Crop 002 Was Crowdsourced From An Estimated 500 Bartenders, Influencers, And Consumers From Around The United States, With 32% Of It Being 2-Year-Old 'triple Terroir' Rye Whiskey (Up From 20% From Whistlepig Farmstock Crop No.001). A 6-Year-Old Whiskey From Mpgi In Indiana Makes Up A Further 45% Of The Blend, While The Final 23% Is 10-Year-Old Whiskey From Alberta Distillers In Canada. Peter Lynch, The Distillery’s Master Blender Worked Closely With The Master Distiller, Dave Pickerell, To Perfect The Final Blend.

WhistlePig is a Vermont based brand of straight rye whiskey which is matured at Alberta distilleries and later shipped to Vermont. Though being relatively new in the whiskey world, it has become a well-known brand WhistlePig released their first expression in 2015 and have since released many acclaimed Rye whiskeys.

The Glenlivet Master Distiller's Reserve Malt
The Glenlivet legacy lives on in this incredibly sweet and smooth spirit, available exclusively in Travel Retail. The cornerstone of the range, the Master Distiller’s Reserve showcases the approach perfectly: the traditional oak casks represent the classic style of The Glenlivet (ripe pear, gentle summery notes), while first-fill American oak provides depth and creaminess (coconut, soft fudge). Finally, ex-sherry oak brings complexity and richness (dried fruit, spice). Maturation in three types of oak makes for three times the character. This bright and lively gold expression has pear and fudge on the nose and fruit and spice on the palate. To finish, it dazzles with hints of marzipan and hazelnut. Founded by George Smith, The Glenlivet has been crafted in the remote Livet Valley, at the heart of Scotland's Speyside region, since 1824. Initially, George Smith was a farmer who used to have illicit stills. In 1824, he founded the first legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet, thus legalising the already famous illicit whisky from Scotland. He went on to establish the brand’s reputation as the best whisky on the market. In 1884, a court ruling officially gave George Smith's single malt the exclusive right to be called The Glenlivet. At the start of the 20th century, The Glenlivet became the favourite whisky for enthusiasts throughout the British Empire. Following the end of Prohibition in the United States, its reputation grew in America, with The Glenlivet quickly becoming the No.1 single malt in the USA – a position it continues to enjoy today. The Glenlivet owes its unique taste to a number of specific factors relating to its production and location. Indeed, the distillery is located in the Cairngorms National Park, at over 270 metres above sea level. According to weather records, it is considered to be the coldest place in Britain, characterised by strong winds and heavy snowfalls in winter. Water is drawn from Josie’s Well, a source of hard mineral water, which enables complex aromas to develop during the distillation process. Then, the lantern-shaped stills used for distilling give the spirit its outstanding balance and strong character. Lastly, a careful ageing process, particularly in American oak casks, gives The Glenlivet its full flavour.
