One of the easiest recipes to follow, whiskey sour is a globally accepted cocktail. It is believed to taste good with a choice of a Classic Bourbon whiskey. This particular whiskey cocktail follows a 2:1:1 ratio ingredient-wise where one part is sweet. 2 ounces of Bourbon whiskey is mixed along with 1 ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice (lemon syrup would also do) and 1 ounce of simple syrup (could be honey or agave). Shake them well for a minute along with ice, and your whiskey sour is ready to be served. The drink is also served with egg white which is added to the shaker once the drink is completely mixed.
This cocktail uses a bourbon whiskey with angostura bitters, maple syrup / simple syrup and a lemon twist or slice / orange slice. Place the sugar, bitters and water in a small tumbler and mix until the sugar dissolves. Ready your serving glass with ice and whiskey. Pour the mixture into the glass and stir for 10-15 seconds. Use the lemon twist or orange as a garnish over the glass.
