Top Travel Edition Whiskies you will only find on Duty Free

Travel Retail Exclusives are limited edition whiskies released by distilleries, and as the name suggests, these are valuable and exclusive bottlings. What does Travel Retail mean? It means that these limited edition bottlings can only be bought at the distillery itself, or from a duty free whisky store.

Many a times, whisky distilleries and blenders release such limited edition expressions on travel retail as a means to conduct a controlled study before an eventual wider release. Some brands prefer to preserve the status of these limited edition whiskies, not releasing them widely. Such whiskies are extremely rare to find, and the opportunity to purchase them are few.

Take the Johnnie Walker Double Black as an example, which was only released on travel retail earlier. It proved to be a huge success for the brand, eventually being released globally in 2011 to much acclaim.

Here is our list of the most exclusive, well-crafted and must have limited edition travel exclusive whisky bottlings for every enthusiastic whisky lover and collector to have!
