Manager Of Gordon Macphail Joins Scotch Whiskey Society
Gordon & Macphail is a family owned and operated firm that has been producing single malt whiskeys for over a period of 120 years. Located in the Speyside region of north-east Scotland, a mecca for whiskey lovers, Gordon & Macphail has grown over the years to become a dynamic company with many business interests.
Mark Angus, the current retail manager, has recently been welcomed into the ‘The Keepers of the Quaich’ – an international and prime society which acknowledges those who have demonstrated a remarkable commitment to the Scotch whiskey industry.
Angus said that he feels honored to be a ‘Keeper of the Quaich’. He wants to deeply bolster the society’s objective of aiding whiskey attain a greater and a more prominent acquaintanceship among connoisseurs. Angus further said that he looks forward to working closely with recognized people from across the business.
He added, “Our retail premises opened in 1895 and we can draw upon 122 years of experience in delivering excellent customer service and whiskey education.”
Angus offers general tours and hosts tastings in Gordon & Macphail’s famous Whisky Room which stocks more than 1000 diverse single malts, including a number of the organization's own particular rare and aged whiskeys. He is also a member of the board that organizes the ‘Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival’. Between 27 April and 1 May, 2017, Angus and his associates will deliver a number of master-classes and whiskey-themed events for locals and international guests, and whiskey enthusiasts at this year’s festival.

New Whisky Exclusively for Heathrow's T5
Just under three hundred bottles of the Loch Lomond Inchmurrin, Single Cask, 10-year-old whiskies have just been launched exclusively to celebrate ten years of Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 5. They will be available at Dufry’s World Duty Free, the travel-retail outlet. Heathrow is Europe’s biggest airport by passenger traffic.

Arran Malt Marks Distiller Anniversary
Surrounded by the deep waters of the British Isles, Arran distillers has been known for their whisky which is made out of malted barley and “the purest water in Scotland”. This year they are celebrating their 40th year as Scotch whisky producers and the 10th anniversary of their master distiller. To commemorate that, they have brought to you the “James MacTaggart Anniversary Single Malt”. The new beverage has been crafted by master distiller James MacTaggart, from a collection of the Bourbon Barrels which have been in use to age the malt whisky since his beginning at the distillery back in the year 2007.
