Jameson Bow Street 18 Cask Strength Launches

Irish Whiskey giants Jameson have unveiled their newest, and only cask-strength expression, the Jameson Bow Street 18 Cask Strength further strengthening their inventory with a robust, and equally rare drink.
Unveiled earlier this year, the Bow Street 18 Cask Strength is an excellent representation of Jameson’s expertise at creating a blend that can only be described as tough to match. Not only does this expression carry an age-statement of 18 years, it has been finished in first fill American Ex-Bourbon barrels
The Jameson Bow Street 18 is the only ‘Cask Strength’ by Jameson making it one of the truly remarkable releases from the Irish whiskey behemoths.
A marriage between only the choicest and the rarest Midleton distillery produced pot still and grain whiskeys, the Jameson Bow Street 18 Cask Strength follows the traditional methods of this great house to a tee. What truly sets it apart is not only its status as the only cask strength whiskey from Jameson, but the uniquely put together aging process of this whiskey.
Master Blender Billy Leighton brings his expertise to the table as he blends the source whiskeys to perfection before allowing the blended spirit to finish for an extended period of six to twelve months in first fill American Ex-Bourbon barrels. The aging and finishing process for the Bow Street 18 takes place at the historic and original home, the Jameson Distillery Bow Street in Dublin, hence the name.
Another factor that makes the Jameson Bow Street 18 Cask Strength is how rare, and hard to find it is. Only bottled once a year, the whiskey is also bottled in a beautifully crafted bottle with 18 facets, representing the age-statement of the whiskey.
The Tasting Notes carried by the Jameson Bow Street 18 Cask Strength are;
Nose: Deep notes of toffee and spice with the richness of wood.
Palate: Oaky, Toffee with hints of vanilla and leather followed by sweet sherry notes.
Finish: Smooth, long and full finish with traces of toffee and toasted spices and oak.
This Jameson Irish Whiskey expression is truly an achievement, with a superiorly blended vintage whiskey with an excellent age.
The Jameson Bow Street 18 Cask Strength is not only the oldest expression in the Jameson inventory, but also the most unique offering from the brand that is bound to impress whiskey lovers worldwide.
