JAMESON DISTILLERY BRAND HOME REOPENS
Jameson Distillery, an Irish whiskey tourist attraction, has re-opened after the completion of an €11 million redevelopment of its Bow Street site. It was inaugurated by Paschal Donohoe, the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform and Dublin Central TD. He will be involved in supporting and promoting whiskey tourism in Ireland, with an objective of increasing the number of tourists in the coming years. Each year there are more than 600,000 tourists who visit Irish whiskey centers.
For 27 years Jameson has witnessed phenomenal growth. The new revamped brand home leverages modern technology that beautifully blends in with the historic atmosphere of the distillery. The Bow Street site offers three whiskey tours that are fully-guided. First, a 40-minute long tour of the distillery - ‘The Bow St. Experience’. It beautifully articulates the rich heritage of Jameson’s whiskey. The tour ends by involving the visitors with a comparative whiskey tasting and a final celebratory toast. Second, ‘The Whiskey Makers’ is a 90-minute experience of the three whiskeys that make up this tour – Blender’s Dog, Cooper’s Croze, and Distiller’s Safe, along with the exploration of Jameson Original. Third, ‘The Whiskey Shaker’ is a 90-minute tour that immerses visitors in exploring the various cocktails that have emerged from the world of Jameson whiskey.
As Jean-Christophe Coutures, CEO at Irish Distillers stated, “The success of Irish whiskey is a success story for Ireland and we look forward to welcoming whiskey-lovers from across the globe and sharing our story with them.”
The redevelopment work began towards the end of last year by a collective initiative from BRC Imagination Arts, Flynn Management and Contractors, and TOTP Architects.
Bowmore Unveils New Whisky Trio
One of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, Bowmore has officially been in business since 1779 that has crafted sheer brilliance to whisky enthusiasts over the years. Taking forward their legacy, Bowmore launched its new single malts trio; Bowmore 18 Year Old Double Matured Manzanilla, Bowmore 26 Year Old Wine Matured and a final 27 Year Old bottling which is slated to release in 2018. Before you drain your pockets on that rare scotch or single malt, you might want to think twice as there is a chance that it might be fake. Macallan debuts Aroma-Based Edition No. 3
