CRANK IT UP A NOTCH WITH THE CASSIS
We came across this whiskey cocktail and immediately thought about sharing it with you guys. The best part about it is its uniqueness. But what is it that makes it unique? It is the exotic combination of whiskey and crème de cassis that does.
Well, yes, Cassis as we all know is a quaint town, situated east of Marseille, in southern France. It is a hugely popular tourist destination, however, crème de cassis is not something that was created and conceived there. It is Burgundy, another French region that gave birth to cassis, the liqueur. Both Burgundy and crème de cassis owe their etymologies to blackcurrants.
Crème de cassis is a sweet and dark red liqueur that’s made from blackcurrants. It is primarily used in making cocktails. Interestingly, it is also served as a frappe post dinner.
So this coming weekend, crank it up a notch with a whiskey Cassis!
