Pop-up Magic: Pernod Ricard Launches Single Cask Whiskies
Pernod Ricard has released three limited edition single cask Scotch whiskies, which will be available through pop-up stores at Asian airports.
The collection features an 18-year-old Glenlivet Watercairn Single Cask, a 19-year-old Glenlivet Fore Burn Single Cask, and a no-age-statement Glenlivet Tarland Single Cask. The single cask Scotch whiskies have been matured in a single Sherry cask, a Bourbon cask, and bottled at cask strength particularly.
The pop-up stores will give travelers the chance to indulge in comparative tastings and learn more about the brand’s other retail exclusives. On offer is an engraved leather neck tag, which is available on every purchase of a bottle. The personalized leather neck tags would display the initials of the owners.
The pop-up at Hong Kong International Airport will be up till the end of April 2017. At Singapore’s Changi Airport, the casks would be on display from May to June.
Pernod Ricard also launched the Chivas Regal 18 Ultimate Cask Collection First Fill French Oak Finish, which is an “intense re-interpretation” of the Chivas Regal 18 Year Old. One can sense the arresting essence of cinnamon, hazelnut and milk chocolate flavors in the whisky. Master Coopers has handcrafted the casks.
The Chivas Regal pop-ups were opened at Dubai International Airport, and will be on display till the end of May 2017. A taste bar has also been set up at London’s Heathrow Airport Terminal 4.
