The Ballantine’s Finest blended Scotch whisky is the oldest and most successful Ballantine’s blend still in production. Over the course of its near 200 year history, the legendary house of Ballantine’s has developed a diverse, complex and excellent portfolio of blended Scotch whiskies.

George Ballantine established the Ballantine’s brand in 1827 when he ventured into the grocery business. His discovery of the lucrative nature of whisky selling inspired him to move his focus towards it, and soon the Ballantine’s brand was joined by George II, Archibald and Daniel, the founder’s three sons. George III, the founder George Ballantine’s Sr.’s grandson too joined the family business.

A few years after the death of George Ballantine Sr., the Royal Warrant was bestowed upon the Ballantine’s brand by Queen Victoria, foreshadowing the bright future that was in store for the house of Ballantine’s.
