7 year old Indian single malt whisky here from the Paul John range, finished in an Oloroso Sherry cask!This was distilled in 2009 and bottled at cask strength in 2016 without any chill-filtration or additional colours. Due to Goa's warmer climes (compared to Scotland) means there’s more evaporation from the casks, but the whisky also shows well at a younger age.
A particularly flavoursome Indian single malt from the Paul John range. Kanya is an unpeated expression that has been aged in first-fill American white oak casks and bottled at 50% ABV. Only 1,500 bottles were produced. In Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2018, this expression was awarded a staggering 96 points and the title of Best Asian Whisky 2018!
Following their Edited release, Bold is a fully peated single malt from Paul Distilleries (they're aptly named expressions).Peat is brought over to Goa from Islay for Bold, where it is used to dry their 6-row Indian barley.

Although it says Indian, Paul John is made from Indian barley, with Scottish peat, distilled in traditional copper containers and later matured in American oak casks. Launched first in the United Kingdom, Paul John Single Malt whisky was appreciated by whisky lovers in Europe. Apart from Europe, Paul John Single Malt whisky is also available in USA, New Zealand, Australia, India, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan. The company eventually plans to expand their supply to other countries and make the brand available in all European markets.
A famous and very popular blended scotch whisky, VAT 69 comes with a great deal of history. It was first made in 1882 by William Sanderson - a liquor manufacturer from Leith, Scotland. To create the perfect blend, Sanderson made up 100 different vattings of whisky and hired a panel of expert whisky tasters to select the finest one. They chose the 69th vatting, thus the name, VAT 69. Blended using forty different malt and grain whiskies, this is a smooth, balanced spirit and a perennial favourite with blend drinkers.

It is a small-batch Bourbon whiskey, distilled on-site at the distillery that began operations over two centuries ago in 1812. It is produced through a combination of Indian grain spirits, scotch malts and a neutral grain spirit derived from molasses. Royal Challenge is a grain-based whisky blended with Scotch malts, Indian malts and neutral grain spirits. The brand was initially launched by Shaw Wallace in India in the early 1980s, and is currently owned by Diageo subsidiary, United Spirits Limited. It was once the market leader in the premium whisky segment during the 1980s and 1990s, following which the entry of other premium whisky brands in India such as Royal Stag and Blenders Pride brought about a change in the dynamics of the premium whisky segment. The alcohol strength carried by Royal Challenge is 42.8% ABV, the permissible levels of alcohol for whiskies in India. The brand was officially introduced to the United States in 2012 by the American United Beer & Spirits at the Wine and Spirits Wholesales of America Conference. Royal Challenge lays the claim to being the first brand to cross the threshold of 1 million cases in the mid-prestige price segment, and that over 4.5 million cases of the whisky are sold annually.
