Lark Single Malt Cask Strength
Aged in Quarter Cask oak barrels that previously held Aussie-style port wine, this is bottled at cask strength (58% abv). The barley is malted by local Cascade Brewing Co. and the peat used comes from their own peat bogs. All whisky produced at Lark are done in single batches so slight variation may occur.

MacNair’s was the eponymous blend of Harvey MacNair and Company of Glasgow and London, which owned Benromach distillery during the First World War. Its ownership passed to Hiram Walker, then Allied Distillers and finally Pernod Ricard. In 2012 its new owner revamped the packaging and released it with a competitive price to take on rival blend Label 5 in French supermarkets. MacNair’s Special Reserve is also available in Poland.Quite possibly a flagship blend for Harvey MacNair & Co. quite early on, of which there is little information available, the modern incarnation is bottled at 40% abv and features a high proportion of malt whisky.

Lot No. 40 is expertly distilled in small batches using only the finest locally sourced ingredients. By distilling in a single copper pot still, the result is a whisky that starts off earthy and woody tasting and then becomes full bodied and complex with a velvety vanilla oak finish.

Clan Campbell is a whisky born and bred in Scotland, a country renowned for the purity of its water, and is blended from the finest grain and malt whiskies. Made in the Highlands, it ages for at least three years in oak casks. Today, the brand is the leading premium whisky in France. Since the middle ages, the Clan Campbell, with its roots in the North of Scotland, has been the greatest of the clans. In 1266, Sir Colin Campbell proved himself the King of Scotland’s mightiest champion when facing the English invader. From that time onwards, the Duke of Argyll, chief of the Clan Campbell, has carried the title of “MacCailein Mor”, or son of the Great Colin. The brand has been marketed in France since 1984.
