Glendalough 13 Year Old Irish Whiskey - Mizunara Oak Finish
The first and only Irish whiskey to have been finished in Japanese mizunara oak casks. First aged in bourbon barrels, this single malt was then transferred to virgin mizunara barrels created by hand at Japan's only independent cooperage. These lightly charred barrels have added vanilla, sandalwood and a touch of coconut to the whisky, while also increasing smoothness and depth of flavour.

The 16 year old Bushmills builds on the soft, smoothness of the 10 year old and adds some very nice fruity characters. The whiskey is initially aged seperately for 15 years in both bourbon and sherry casks then these are married together into port wood for around a year of extra finishing. The port wood adds some delicious flavours of red fruits, some sweetness and hints of candy and chocolate. Like all Bushmills whiskeys it is very smooth but this one has a sweeter, fruitier edge than them all.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF WHISKY
An Irish man once said, “What whisky will not cure, there is no cure for.” Of course, the world has since found out that he was quite right. Over the years, many researchers have found out that this liquid sunshine contains a plethora of health benefits. But, what has today become a drink for the affluent class was once upon a time enjoyed by the cowboys and construction workers, and was even used as an antiseptic on battlefields. What’s even more surprising is that in the 1920s, whiskey was considered as medicine and sold in pharmacies as a tonic. Intriguing, right? So, whether you like to sip on a tiny glass of Jim Beam Whiskey, or prefer to enjoy your Jack Daniel’s Whiskey on the rocks, know that every drop of this fine drink is helping your body in some way or another.
Long before David Beckham and Haig Club, there was Dimple Haig. Launched at the end of the 19th century, it became the deluxe, sophisticated brother to the standard Haig & Haig blend, while in the US it has long been known as Dimple Pinch. Whether the name inspired the bottle or vice versa is unclear, but Dimple has always been packaged in a distinctive lozenge-shaped bottle with pinched sides like a collapsed pot still. Of the various expressions over time, the 15-year-old has a caramel sweetness, a touch of spice, some vanilla oak and no discernible smoke.
