A ‘wheated’ bourbon that provides an exceptionally smooth flavor and finish. Winner of the Double Gold at San Francisco World Spirits competition, 1843®'s award-winning taste is appreciated from coast to coast. In the private back room of a grocery store on North 6th Street in St. Louis, Missouri, unbeknownst to its forefather, a legacy was born. The store's owner, David Nicholson, created the famed ‘43’ bourbon recipe. Little did he know that his recipe would be passed on and passed down, remaining unaltered for almost two centuries. Still possessing the outstanding character for which it earned its original popularity in 1843, the David Nicholson legacy lives on unchanged, unfettered, and unmatched.
One of the oldest brands, it has a rich expression of deluxe whisky.

The taste is very well balanced with sweet fruit notes, strong vanilla undertone and sharp spicy tones, with a cinnamon finish. 107 Proof

It has been making whisky for more than half a century, and started producing malted barley for its blends in 1990, but only launched its first single malt for export in 2016. This is a creamy and malty whisky with notes of vanilla, apricot and apple.
