Black Velvet Reserve is the 8 year old expression from Canada's second best selling (as of 2013) whisky. Originally called Black Label, the name was changed just after the end of the Second World War to reflect the velvet texture it was perceived to have.
Black Velvet first came out of the barrel in 1951. The brand was initially known as “Black Label,” but after Jack Napier, the original distiller, sampled the first batch, he changed the name to Black Velvet to reflect its uncommon velvety taste and smoothness. It’s sold in over 55 countries around the world. Using crystal clear Canadian water, plus the finest rye, grains, and corn, the whisky is painstakingly distilled, blended at birth, and put up in premium oak barrels to gently mature.

Jack Daniel's 1907 Tennessee Whiskey is charcoal mellowed and matured in the cooler areas of the barrel warehouse and bottled at 37% alcohol. Because the whiskey does not work its way as deeply into the barrel wood it has a light, slightly sweet taste profile. Jack Daniel's entrusted his famous distillery to his nephew, Lem Motlow in 1907. Lem soon introduced a white-labelled, lighter version of Jack’s Whiskey. Jack Daniel's proudly continue this tradition with Jack Daniel's 1907.
