Bakery Hill Classic comes from just outside Melbourne in Australia. The flagship of the range, this has notes of nutmeg, honey and an underlying maltiness.
The Double Wood expression from Australian distillery Bakery Hill features single malt whisky which was initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and finished in French oak casks. This finishing period brings some additional plum and orange peels notes to the table, complimenting the malty notes from the Classic Malt.
Black Dog Gold Reserve Aged 12 Years is a blend of 25 fine whiskies from all the regions of Scotland - Speyside, Islay, Highlands and Lowlands, each matured for a minimum period of 12 years creating a bouquet that captures all the flavours of Scotland, giving the blend its very distinctive flavour and taste.
The early floral yet biscuit flavour reflects the grain whiskey, while the soft spicy notes can be attributed to the pot still whiskey in the blend. The citrus flavour is complemented by the malt. Finally notice the nutty or even marzipan note combined with distinctive vanilla in the finish – imparted by the sherry and bourbon casks used in maturation.
Bulleit Bourbon is inspired by the whiskey pioneered by Augustus Bulleit over 150 years ago. Only ingredients of the very highest quality are used. The subtlety and complexity of Bulleit Bourbon come from its unique blend of rye, corn, and barley malt, along with special strains of yeast and pure Kentucky limestone filtered water. Due to its especially high rye content, Bulleit Bourbon has a bold, spicy character with a finish that's distinctively clean and smooth. Medium amber in color, with gentle spiciness and sweet oak aromas. Mid-palate is smooth with tones of maple, oak, and nutmeg. Finish is long, dry, and satiny with a light toffee flavor.
"Haig whisky is steeped in history since it was first distilled by John Haig in the old Cameronbridge Distillery Scotland in 1824. From these humble beginnings, Haig Whisky quickly rose to become one of the most successful and popular Scotch whiskies in the world before falling into decline some 30 years ago as it left the Haig family ownership and was passed through a series of multinational drinks companies. The distillery meanwhile went from strength to strength and now in the ownership of Diageo is one of the largest distilleries in Europe. Haig Dimple Pinch is the US version of Haig Dimple , also named after the unique shape of the bottle. Haig Pinch and Dimple are the upmarket brothers of Haig Gold blended whisky but with an age statement of 15 years and a heavier malt influence of whiskies from Glenkinchie and Linkwood. Haig Pinch was a Haig Whisky product for the American market and was bottled at the slightly higher strength of 43% ABV."
Ballindalloch, on the banks of the legendary salmon river, is for many the home of the definitive Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Hugely complex, rich with layers of flavour and a whiff of smoke in the finish.
Powerful, fresh-clean and growing in complexity like a gathering storm. Sweet maltiness with ripe red berry fruit moves to smoke, brine and an explosion of pepper.
"Our Ale Cask is the only Scotch to be finished in barrels that once held ale, giving it an irresistible creamy maltiness. To those who brewed the beer and built the barrels, we say #IOU. We wouldn’t have this amazing dram without you. Not only perfect for bringing to friend’s houses for big sporting occasions, like the boules championships, but also great for saying ‘cheers for teaching me to dance’ or ‘thanks for lending me your horse.’"
Almost impossible to obtain in the UK this very popular Bowmore Pure Malt Scotch is produced exclusively for the Asian markets. We think the glassware design and packaging on these bottles is simply superb and we know many Scottish single malt die-hard's simply love this on the rare occasions they've managed to actually taste it
